I love your trainings I always learn so much!
Thank you for being an awesome teacher and putting so much information out there for us to begin to learn with!
“It was very easy to understand and follow along.
It's not about the most expensive equipment but using what you have to work with.
It's nice to see a real person explain the steps.”
“Kristine, this course felt like a breath of fresh night air—I’m so glad I decided to join.
I’ve only been using a digital camera for 12 months, and when I first watched one of your live shoots, I didn’t even know how to operate my camera! I set a challenge for myself to revisit this after a year, and here I am.
You’ve taken a complex and challenging topic and broken it down into manageable, actionable steps.
The pacing was just right, and I enjoyed pushing myself to keep up with the course material each day.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Facebook Account to participate?
It is highly recommended. There is replay access off of facebook, but you will not be able to attend any of the trainings live or be entered to win the prizes.
I understand some people’s aversions to interacting with the platform. However, Facebook is the most widely used online platform that has the ability to host the trainings.
You are welcome to create a facebook profile just to access this training! We only require it to actually be you and submitting your email used to purchase upon requesting to join will confirm that.
How long is the Facebook group open?
The Facebook group is open from March 27th to April 11th. You will continue to have view-only Facebook group access until after the end of the new moon cycle (April 17th) so that you can replay and refine your technique this moon cycle.
After the 17th my team and I will process the closure of the group and the removal of students and trainings.
The trainings will be available afterwards only on our proprietary platform for students inside the Milky Way Magic course.
How long do I get access to the trainings?
You will have access to the replays of the videos until April 17th, and you will be able to download each day’s workbook to keep.
Why don’t I get to keep the recordings forever?
This is an exclusive event that you get to participate in for the ticket price of $17! Just like Taylor Swift, we're not offering replays, so this is your one chance to experience it live. While my performances may not have the same dazzling costumes (much to my 5-year-old daughter's disappointment), we're bringing the same one-time-only excitement and transformation.
We are a small team, and this is how we have the resources at this price point to offer this as an amazing online event.
Lifetime access is included to our Milky Way Magic members who have access to our custom learning platform on nightphotographyacademy.com
I’ve done the free “Your First Milky Way Photo” Training, is this the same thing?
Yes and also very much no. It covers the same basic ideas, but it goes much more in depth. With less volume of students we are able to dive deeper into conversations like focus and yes - I share my whole editing workflow too!
For Milky Way Magic students, you will have lifetime access to all of the replays and content inside the Hub - no need to get a ticket!

MEET THE HOST OF MILKY WAY PHOTOGRAPHY INTENSIVE:
Hi! I'm Kristine
Here’s what I care about:
• Creating safe and supported spaces for photographers.
• More people creating beautiful images.
• Crafting world-class education experiences.
My street cred?
I have a BFA and BDes and have been working as a professional photographer for 15 years (teaching photography for 16!)
I've worked with tens of thousands of brand new and seasoned photographers alike over the years. I ran the commercial photography studio for an international toy company (2009-2019) as well as my own photography business, and taught Photography at NSCAD University (2008-2016)
The last 8 years I've been intensively photographing the Milky Way and selling and exhibiting my work.
It’s amazing to me that I get to create photos I love, help others do the same and have the flexibility to have time with my young family.
